Cider
Glazed Pork Chops
4 pork chops, 1
in. thick
Soy sauce
Salt and Pepper
1/2 cup apple cider or juice
1/4 cup honey
1 tsp. vinegar
2 tsp. cornstarch
Pinch of allspice and cinnamon
Brush chops
lightly on both sides with soy sauce and sprinkle with salt and
pepper. Brown chops in a little hot oil in a skillet. Place
chops in a single layer in a baking dish.
Combine cider,
honey, vinegar, cornstarch and spices. Pour over chops. Bake,
uncovered, at 350oF until very tender, approximately
1 hour. Baste occasionally with sauce. Cover with foil if sauce
forms a glaze before chops are tender.
